Updated August 30, 2017 - 3:56 pm

Fast-food giant McDonald’s plans to hire over 1,300 people in the Las Vegas area.

All local owners and operators in the valley are looking for shift managers, maintenance workers and other positions.

Operators in Utah, Arizona and parts of Wyoming, California and New Mexico are also part of the hiring surge, McDonald’s spokeswoman Amanda Rieter said.

The company, based in Oak Brook, Illinois, will do another hiring push later this year, she said. McDonald’s has over 100 locations in the Las Vegas Valley.

Job seekers can visit McDonalds.com/careers.

Earlier this year, McDonald’s said it would start taking application through the Snapchat smartphone app.

In March, a local McDonald’s became the first in Nevada to receive touchscreen kiosks for customers.
