Henderson cites, shuts down seven massage parlors

A Henderson law designed to discourage prostitution has led to shutdowns of seven massage parlors, city police said Wednesday.

The businesses failed to meet one or more of the city’s regulations — being open later than 10 p.m. and exterior windows being tinted or covered, thereby not allowing views inside the business.

Also, several of the businesses were advertising on the Internet, offering services 24 hours a day, also violating the law, police said.

Each of the businesses must remain closed until they meet with the city business licensing supervisor. Employees were cited and face penalties of as much as six months in jail and/or $1,000 in fines.

According to police, they include:

■ 7 Sunny Massage, 256 E. Lake Mead Parkway

■ Sunbrignt Massage & Spa, 1628 W. Warm Springs Road

■ #8 Foot Reflexology, 1643 W. Warm Springs Road

■ Ling Spa, 1690 W. Sunset Road

■ The Spa YI, 4011 E. Sunset Road

■ Sunset Spa, 4130 E. Sunset Road

■ Sunshine Massage, 594 N. Stephanie St.
