Las Vegas senior center bomb threat a false call

Las Vegas police shut down Maryland Parkway near Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center to investigate a bomb threat that proved to be a false call.

Officer Lawrence Hadfield said a senior living center in the 2800 block of Maryland received a bomb threat about 9:30 a.m. and voluntarily evacuated.

Hadfield, a police spokesman, said the police bomb squad performed a routine search of the area, but device was found.
