Two dead, one wounded in southwest valley shooting

Las Vegas police investigate an apparent murder-suicide that left two people dead in the southwest valley Friday night. A third person was shot and taken to University Medical Center, said Lt. John Pelletier. The shooting was reported at 8:13 p.m. at the San Tropez Apartments, 8025 W. Russell Road, near Buffalo Drive. The apartment complex was evacuated and SWAT was called in when it appeared the shooter had taken shelter in one of the units. Residents of the apartment complex were sent to a nearby high school.
