AVRIL LAVIGNE, NICKELBACK’S CHAD KROEGER ENGAGED

It seems like just yesterday Avril Lavigne was dating Brody Jenner (it was actually six months ago they officially split), but today we learned the Canadian musician is engaged to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. Chad tells the new issue of Hello! Canada he fell for Avril while helping her record her fifth studio album back in February, which means she was fresh from her split from Brody, her boyfriend of two years. Chad called the experience "powerful" and "something I'll never forget" while she showed off the 14-carat engagement ring sparkling on her left hand.
