Actor-comedian David Cross and his longtime girlfriend, actress Amber Tamblyn, are engaged to be married, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
Tamblyn, 28, the daughter of veteran actor-dancer Russ Tamblyn (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, West Side Story), first became a TV name as the lead in the 2003-06 fantasy drama series Joan of Arcadia. Movie audiences then saw her in the 2005 hit The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Her extensive TV work has also included the role of Martha M. Masters on House.
Cross, 47, is perhaps best known for his outrageousness on the 2003-06 cult sitcom Arrested Development, on which he played the gaffe-prone, madcap Tobias Fünke. Talk of a feature movie based on the show has long been circulating.
