Comedian Griffin back in town

Kathy Griffin was in Las Vegas over the Fourth of July weekend to unveil her wax figure at Madame Tussauds. It's still there as one of the figures to scare you in the museum's "After Dark" attraction, and you wonder if she just might have something to say about that.

The gossipy comedian will perform two sets of lacerating stand-up today at Mandalay Bay, leaving her avid fan following to its own Halloween devices and vices on Saturday.

"I don't need alcohol," she noted last time around. "My body produces such negativity that I have to burn it off, two shows a night."

Tickets are $65 for shows at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. in the Mandalay Bay Theatre, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South; call 632-7580.
