‘Duck Dynasty’ stars endorse Jindal for president

LOS ANGELES — Bobby Jindal is fixin’ to find high-profile support from his own constituents as he launches his campaign for the presidency: “Duck Dynasty” stars Jep and Jessica Robertson have said they endorse the Louisiana governor.

“I definitely would vote for him he’s a very, very good man,” Jep Robertson told celebrity news site FOX411 on Thursday. “We’ve gotten to chat with him several times, kind of just talking, he’s a great dude … he’s very transparent, has a great family, so yeah I’d definitely give him my vote.”

The news isn’t too much of a surprise. In May, Jep Robertson’s brother Willie told the news site that he endorsed Jindal. Jindal also made a cameo on last season’s premiere of the A&E series and was one of many prominent Republicans who lent his support to Phil Robertson after a GQ article that shared the family patriarch’s politically incorrect remarks about gays and other minorities put the show in jeopardy of cancellation.

Jindal, who officially entered the presidential race earlier this month, is currently in hot water for signing legislation that would limit production tax credits in his home state.
