The Balboa Pizza Co. at The District is a surf/sports bar hybrid. The theme and decor have a beachy, Hawaiian flair, while a line of televisions over the bar and hovering over the seating area broadcast sporting events 24/7. The stars of the menu are the pizzas, which include varieties such as Hawaiian, three cheese, garlic chicken, Tostada, goat cheese, Caprese, Buffalo chicken and Philly cheesesteak. The Wedge is a folded pizza that is Balboa’s version of a calzone. The children’s menu offers a 6-inch pizza, which is also available as an adult meal combination that is served with a house or Ceasar salad. Along with pizza, the menu features salads, sandwiches and traditional bar fare such as chicken wings, french fries and housemade chips. The Chip Trio appetizer is housemade chips and three different dips. Menu prices range from about $7 to $20. Happy hour is from 4 to 6 p.m. daily with $3.50 domestic bottled beers, $4 premium drafts and premium bottled beers and cocktails and $4.75 glasses of house wine. Balboa Pizza Co. is open 24/7.
