Dining Pick of the Week: Farm to Table Cafe
July 21, 2014 - 8:00 am
Farm to Table Cafe
The Aliante, 7300 Aliante Parkway, 702-692-7777
In an effort to provide meals made with the best ingredients possible, FARM 24-7 Farm to Table Cafe, inside the Aliante, serves quality food at a reasonable cost. In casino cafe fashion, Farm is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Yet, unlike most casino cafes, it gives customers a variety of dining options that can make them feel as though Grandma cooked them. With the motto “from farm to table,” Farm brings the fresh ingredients to its kitchen by purchasing food from Cowboy Trails Farms, a farm in northwest Las Vegas. The quality of the food at Farm is apparent as patrons dig into staple dishes, such as fried chicken and mashed potatoes or country fried steak served with gravy, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The ambience of the place only serves to reinforce the idea that fresh ingredients make the best and tastiest meals. Apart from its meal choices, Farm is the living embodiment of what it means to prepare and eat good food, while at the same time disproving the notion that organic, locally sourced ingredients make for an expensive dining experience. Without breaking the bank, people can experience breakfast options, such as quiche made with fresh bacon and cheddar cheese ($8), and lunch and dinner options, such as a traditional chicken pot pie ($9), country fried steak ($11) or a turkey dinner with carved roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and traditional stuffing ($10). The experience of low-cost quality food is in itself priceless, but Farm provides a homey dining experience for residents and visitors every day. It serves breakfast from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and moonlight meals from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
