August 5, 2015 - 1:20 pm
It's 2 a.m., and you are craving some traditional American food. Maybe it is a burger with fries, or maybe you just have a hankering for an early breakfast. Whatever it is, Victory's Cafe inside the Cannery probably will have you covered.
Located to the side of the slots inside the casino at 2121 E. Craig Road, the 24-hour cafe is perfect for those looking for something casual and inexpensive.
Breakfast is served 24 hours a day and offers traditional dishes such as eggs Benedict ($8.99), steak and eggs ($10.99) and build-your-own omelet ($6.99), which comes with choice of meat, vegetables and cheese. Of course, breakfast is not complete without buttermilk pancakes, Belgian waffles and French toast dipped in cinnamon-vanilla batter, grilled and then dusted with powdered sugar, starting at $5.99.
Those not on a diet will get a kick out of the chili cheese fries ($6.49), topped with chili con carne, cheddar and jack cheeses, green onions and sour cream, or Victory's Sampler Platter ($11.99), with chicken wings and fingers, mozzarella sticks, quesadillas and onion rings.
Meat lovers will rejoice because burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches are the main entrees here. The Traditional Dog ($5.99) is a quarter-pound traditional flame-broiled dog. For hamburgers, choose from the BBQ Bacon Cheddar ($8.99), traditional sliders ($7.99), The Frisco ($9.99) with grilled onions, sliced avocado and jack cheese on grilled sourdough bread, or build your own burger starting at $7.49.
Deli sandwiches include the B.L.T., tuna salad, and turkey and cheese, starting at $7.99
There are 10 hot sandwiches to choose from, all served with french fries, potato chips, potato salad, macaroni salad or cole slaw, starting at $5.99. Soups and salads start at $2.49.
Other items include spaghetti marinara ($9.99), fish and chips ($12.99) served with steak fries and cole slaw, and meat loaf ($10.99), served with mashed potatoes, brown gravy and sauteed mushrooms.
Follow that with a dessert and call it a day: Choose from vanilla or chocolate ice cream ($2.99), New York-style cheesecake ($4.99) and warm brownie sundae ($5.49).
Drinks include milkshakes, root beer floats and bottomless beverages such as iced tea, soda, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
The cafe is also able to customize orders for vegans and those who are following a special diet.
