Jameson, Ortiz in Twitter tangle
Vegas girl Jenna Jameson has finally gone quiet after making a flurry of accusations against ex Tito Ortiz, the UFC legend — accusations he denies.
The story: Ortiz got custody of their kids. Then she lashed out with furious claims on Twitter about drugs and violence.
Ortiz’s weekend statement said that “unfortunate allegations being made against me are simply not true. I would never do anything to jeopardize my family.”
At one point, she claimed (to his denial): “Soon the story of how he almost killed me in February will be public.”
I interviewed her in mid-March about lighter issues , and she told me: “He is such a good guy. I think he has learned to ignore my ramblings.”
Anyway, Ortiz keeps tweeting he is staying positive with his kids, while she has found public silence.
MAYWEATHER IN OUR TIME
An online site with a crazy name — Incarcerated Bob’s Sports Wrap — claimed Monday that Vegas champ Floyd Mayweather bet
$5.9 million on the Miami Heat to beat the Indiana Pacers by seven points Monday night.
The rumor got so rampant, USA Today shot it down by interviewing skeptics RJ Bell (at Pregame.com) and Chad Millman (ESPN insider).
I asked Mayweather via Twitter whether the rumor was true, but I didn’t hear back by deadline.
SCARY SPICE
Mel B looked tight during 38th birthday parties Saturday at Encore Beach Club, Andrea’s restaurant in the Wynn and Surrender nightclub.
If you’re too old or too young to know: She was Scary Spice in the Spice Girls. In 2009, she performed in Planet Hollywood Resort’s “Peepshow.” Now she is a judge on “X Factor” in Britain. And starting tonight, she is a judge on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”
Mel B partied Saturday with husband Stephen Belafonte, Lil Jon, DJ Martin Solveig, NBA baller Metta World Peace and others.

If on Friday you had gone to The Venetian’s Postrio Bar & Grill , you would have seen Jenny McCarthy munching a turkey sandwich — when she wasn’t stealing part of her son’s spaghetti and meatballs.
She later wrote in her Chicago Sun-Times column (yes, McCarthy has a newspaper column) that she took her son to Circus Circus, where he won a bunch of toys and gave one to a sad little girl.
She wrote: “Leaving Las Vegas without a hangover and a happy kid on my side made me realize that it doesn’t always have to be a sinful trip.
“If getting a bit naughty is a must, bring Grandma along. She can watch the kids when she’s not playing nickel slot machines, so you and your hubby can get a little sinful!”
SIGHTINGS
If you had gone to the Palms pool Saturday, you would have seen Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps in his cabana. You would have seen Wee-Man from “Jackass” in his cabana. And you would have seen singer Austin Carlile of the band Of Mice and Men.
You could have then stalked Phelps to dinner at N9NE Steakhouse, where he gobbled rock shrimp, filets, creamed spinach, truffle french fries and s’mores with Golf Channel reporter Win McMurry. (They lunched on three-egg omelets Saturday at the Palms’ Heraea.)
Or you could have stalked Wee-Man and his buddies that night to ghostbar nightclub, where (obviously) they drank.
But to really party, you should have found Jason Statham eating and drinking with friends Saturday at MGM’s Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, then drinking bloody marys Sunday at Encore Beach Club.
