Unsuspecting Disneyland-goers had quite the surprise this week when they received a visit from the Mad Hatter himself — Johnny Depp.

Depp, who plays the Mad Hatter in Disney’s upcoming “Alice Through the Looking Glass” movie, donned his iconic costume for an interactive billboard that was displayed inside the entrance to Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

The curious passersby were unaware that they weren’t just talking to any Mad Hatter, but the Mad Hatter, Johnny Depp, who was interacting with each and every daring soul who approached the billboard through a live feed.
