In series of images that should appeal to fans of both science fiction and Fox News, Matt Damon is stranded, alone, on Mars.

The first trailer for Ridley Scott’s “The Martian” shows Damon as astronaut Mark Watney, who’s abandoned when a terrible storm strikes during a manned mission to Mars.

Think an interplanetary “Home Alone.”

“The Martian,” due Nov. 25, co-stars Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Jeff Daniels, Michael Pena, Kate Mara, Sean Bean, Sebastian Stan, Donald Glover and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
