Nacho Daddy opening restaurant on Las Vegas Strip

Scorpions on the Strip? Sounds like a PR nightmare, but they’ll be there, ready to take on all challengers, when Nacho Daddy opens its fourth valley location this summer at the Miracle Mile Shops.

The new spot will be somewhat more elaborate than the others, with 6,000 square feet enclosing 21 high-definition TV screens for optimal viewing of sports events and an even bigger projection TV for special programming. If you’d prefer looking at something else, chefs will be visible at work in the open kitchen and a mezzanine will provide optimal people-watching along Harmon Avenue.

And of course it’ll serve the food that has made Nacho Daddy a locals’ favorite since its launch in 2010, including such signature dishes as filet mignon nachos, Bacon Anaheim Chili Grilled Cheese and the Nacho Daddy Triple Dip, which comes with salsa, skillet queso and guacamole. Adult beverages, too, such as Daddy’s Margarita.

Nacho Daddy is the third locally bred food-and-drink company to mount an outpost on the Strip in recent years. Off the Strip moved on to the Strip at The Linq last summer and The Juice Standard opened at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in late February.

Oh, and about those scorpions: They’re the most important part of Nacho Daddy’s Scorpion Shot, which contains an actual scorpion. Maybe they’ll help take the sting out of those gambling losses.
