On once being “this close”
to Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler:

“I saw them in high school. I went to this venue where there was lawn seating and a stage, but, then, they had a ministage set up on the lawn and we were sitting by it. We were, like, ‘I wonder what this is going to be used for?’ Halfway through the performance they came up and did a couple of songs from that ministage, and we were right next to it, and Steven Tyler put his microphone in front of our faces and I’m, like, ‘Oh God, Steven Tyler, you’re right here.’ ”
