The Dirty Panties

More fun than approximately 3,578 open bars, the Dirty Panties' 100-proof pop punk results in plenty of grins, hangovers and apologies the next day. Read on, as the ladies let us know what they're all about.

What do the Dirty Panties sound like?

"They sound kinda squishy?"

The Panties are a spirited bunch. So what tunes soundtrack the perfect Saturday night out on the town?

"Saturday night, our soundtrack consists of us singing Whitesnake to The Quitters and Peccadilloes."

Your gigs are always pretty loose and lively -- anything can happen, really. Ever had any particularly embarrassing moments onstage?

"Embarrassing things happen whenever we leave the house. But here are a few: Jacquie (drummer) fell off the drum stool and broke the mirror behind her, and KC (singer) sang most of the set with her fly down."

You're playing a Christmas benefit this weekend at the Beauty Bar. So, what do the Dirty Panties want from Santa?

1. More free drinks at shows.

2. The plumber to fix the high-pitched squeal that we hear when we turn on the hot water.

3. A lifetime supply of Sparks.

4. An Easy-Bake oven.

5. A tub of Jell-O to hang out in.

6. New sneakers.

7. Money.

8. World peace, of course!

See the Dirty Panties at 9 p.m. Friday at the Beauty Bar, 517 Fremont St. Tickets are $5 or an unwrapped toy; call 598-1965.
