‘New Girl’ re-run episodes to air on MTV, TBS

LOS ANGELES — “New Girl” has a new home for old episodes.

20th Century Fox Television announced an exclusive 5-year basic cable syndication deal with MTV and TBS Tuesday. As a result, re-runs of Zooey Deschanel’s popular sitcom will begin airing weekdays on those networks in Fall 2015.

The Emmy-nominated TV show, which also stars Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson and Hannah Simone, was created by Liz Meriwether, is produced by Chernin Entertainment in association with Fox Television, and lists Meriwether, Dave Finkel, Brett Baer, Jake Kasdan, Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope as executive producers.

As TheWrap previously reported, Jessica Biel is set to guest star in the Season Four premiere of “New Girl,” which airs Tuesday, Sept. 16 on Fox.
