Poster newest member of Royal Order of the Gael

Tim Poster, a former owner of the Golden Nugget, was inducted into the Royal Order of the Gael March 19 during the 27th annual Knight of the Gael benefit at the Red Rock Resort.

The annual fundraiser for Bishop Gorman High School honors former students. Poster, from the Gorman class of 1987, was honored for his gift of the Timothy N. Poster Black Box Theatre at the school.

Socializing during the cocktail reception were the Poster family, Vicki and Frank Fertitta Jr., Frank Fertitta III, Lorenzo Fertitta, Mary Cashman, Leona and Don Iglinski, Netty and Randy Capurro, Gina and Ken Gardner, Dan Tuntland, Tony Capurro, Sue Sullivan, Christa and Todd Morse, Mary Lou and Art Thomas, Sharon and Mike Nolan, Denise and Tim Cashman, Colette and Rob Moore, Andrew Hantges, Sandee and Tito Tiberti, Patti and Allen Puliz, Pat Ellis, Audrey and Michael Heinrich, Sue and Art Manteris, Molly and Jeff Burford, Connie and Chuck Gerber, Pat Mulroy, Perry Rogers, Jackie and Michael Gaughan, Rene and John O'Reilly, and Mary Jo and Rossi Ralenkotter.

Also attending were the Revs. Edward Anderson, Richard Rinn, Thomas von Behren and Edward Wagner.

Master of ceremonies Jan Paulo Musni introduced Gorman's interim President John A. Kilduff. Student speakers were Alexandria Marshall and Laura Pineda.

Tom Breitling and Cedric Crear introduced the honoree. Upon graduating from the University of Southern California, Poster founded Las Vegas Reservation Systems, which grew into Travelscape.com, which was eventually sold to Expedia. In 2004, using money from that sale, Poster and partner Breitling purchased the Golden Nugget, which they sold in 2005. Currently, Poster is one of the senior vice presidents of strategy and development for Wynn Resorts.

Chefs for Kids: The 18th annual Chefs for Kids Dinner and Auction took place Saturday at Caesars Palace. The event honored Master Chef Gustav Mauler and Denise Mauler, who have been supporters of Chefs for Kids since its inception, as well as participants in many other local charities.

The Maulers opened Gustav International Chartered in 1999, which operates Spiedini Ristorante, Gustav Mauler's Cigar Bar and Gustav's Master Chef Catering.

Denise is board chairman of Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada.

More than 520 supporters attended the party, including Linda and Stephen Montoya, Jewel Brooks, Jack Libby, Jan and Owen Nitz, Kelly and Brian Iriye, Mikey and James Bilbray, Patti and Richard Wright, Francine Pullium, Isabel Pfeiffer, Mari and Thom Landers, Jeanne Greenawalt, Irwin Kishner, Jeanne and John Kilduff, Marla and Tom Letizia, Cheryl Purdue, Brian Land, Jaymie Morris, Janice Allen, Scott Rotheiser, Christine Narciso and Christopher Nolan, Kitti Sanderson, Terry and Todd Clore, Larry Hart, Karen Hinton, and UNR President Milton Glick and Peggy Glick.

The annual event raises money for the group's nutrition program.
