1 killed, 1 injured in early morning Siegel Suites shooting

One man was killed and another was injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in the East Las Vegas Valley.
Police responded to the Siegel Slots & Suites, 5011 E Craig Road, about 2:51 a.m. for reports of a shooting. Police located two men with gunshot wounds upon arrival.
The men were taken to University Medical Center where one was pronounced dead and the other was treated and is listed in stable condition, according to police.
Metro's homicide investigators indicated that the man who died had approached two other males inside the business and started a physical confrontation, according to a release from police. The fight escalated and the man was shot numerous times. The second man was also struck by the gunfire.
The motive and identities of the suspects remain unknown and no arrests have been made, police said.
The identity of the man, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner's office.
This is the 1st homicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2016.
