Arrest made in fatal stabbing near Sahara at Maryland

Las Vegas police have made an arrest in a fatal stabbing that occurred in the central valley Monday morning.
Lt. Bruce Miyama said police received a call at 3:20 a.m. When officers responded, they found the body of a man with apparent stab wounds at a home behind a business in the 800 block of East Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway.
Metro’s homicide detectives arrested 55-year old James Pete in connection with the crime.
Pete was transported to the Clark County Detention Center and faces one count of murder with a deadly weapon.
The identity of the man who was stabbed to death has not been released.
