Car hits horse and rider in northeast valley; horse on the loose

Police are looking for a horse and rider who ran away from the scene of a collision with a car.
A car hit a horse near Lake Mead Boulevard and Walnut Road in the northeast valley about 6:20 p.m., Metro said. The rider fell off the horse and onto the hood of the car, and the horse ran away, police said.
Police didn't have details describing the rider because the rider ran after the horse, Metro Lt. Jeff Goodwin said.
