Law enforcement and media gathered Wednesday for demonstrations at the brand new Eldorado Valley Regional Public Safety Training Facility in Boulder City.
The facility contains tactical and qualification firearms ranges with classrooms, an emergency vehicle operator course, and an explosives and demolition range, according to a news release from the city of Henderson.
The facility sits on 240 acres of land donated by Boulder City. The city of Henderson set aside $1 million to supplement $1.45 million in federal grants and appropriations to the cities secured by U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., and the Nevada federal delegation.
Reid and U.S. Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev., attended Wednesday’s grand opening.
