November 7, 2015 - 7:24 am
Clark County firefighters responded to three separate fires early Saturday morning at a hotel on the strip, an apartment complex and a mechanic shop.
The department was called to the first fire just after 1 a.m. at the Paris Las Vegas. About 15 Fire Department vehicles and 45 personnel responded to the fire was in a trash chute on the first floor.
The blaze was confined to that area. The cause of the fire is under investigation and there was no damage to the building, fire department spokesman Larry Haydu said in a news release.
About 1:45 a.m., the department responded to a fire in a storage shed next to an apartment building at 9457 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The fire was contained to a water heater.
The third fire was reported at 4:24 a.m. at USA Auto Repair, near the intersection of Pecos Road and Tropicana Avenue. Witnesses told firefighters there had been an explosion. The first crews to arrive found the building well-involved in flames, a news release said.
Four fire engines, one rescue unit, an air resource unit and 32 fire personnel were called to the fire, which was under control in about 10 minutes, Haydu wrote. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
There were no reported injuries in the fires.
