Man struck, killed walking in street near M Resort

The Clark County coroner's office has released the name of a pedestrian who was hit by an SUV and killed in the southern valley early Thursday.

David A. Robledo, 25, died at the scene of the crash on Las Vegas Boulevard near St. Rose Parkway.

Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Loy Hixson said Robledo was walking in the travel lane of Las Vegas Boulevard at about 4:30 a.m. when he was struck by a black Cadillac Escalade.

The crash occurred near the M Resort, and the Cadillac bore a license plate reading "M Spa 2."

The driver of the Cadillac was not injured and stayed at the scene, Hixson said.

Traffic on Las Vegas Boulevard north of St. Rose reopened by about 10:30 a.m., the highway patrol said on Twitter.
