Man who killed himself at gun range identified

The man police said shot and killed himself Monday at a Las Vegas shooting range was from Pennsylvania, the Clark County coroner’s office said Tuesday.

He was Rodney Dorm, 58, of Marietta, Penn., the coroner’s office said.

First responders were called about 4:15 p.m. Monday to The Range 702 at 4699 Dean Martin Road, between Tropicana and Harmon avenues.

Dorm shot himself once in the chest and died at University Medical Center, a Metro spokesman said Monday evening.

The Range 702, which claims on its website to be the largest gun range in Las Vegas, was closed following the shooting. The business reopened Tuesday, a range employee said.
