A woman and her son killed Friday in a south valley shooting in which the shooter turned the gun on himself were identified by the Clark County coroner's office on Sunday.
Jennifer Bagley, 39, and 8-year-old Lex Donoso, both from Las Vegas, died from gunshot wounds in the "hands of another person," the coroner's office staff said.
That other person was identified by a neighbor as Joe Frankulin, 47.
Metro said Friday that Frankulin shot Bagley at her front door in the 7200 block of Hardtack Circle.
Bagley's daughter was able to run to a neighbor's house to call for help, Metro said. Bagley's third child, a toddler, was found unharmed inside the house.
Responding officers realized Frankulin had taken Lex with him into his house two doors down. They heard gunshots when they arrived.
Frankulin shot Lex before shooting himself, Metro said.
Police, who on Friday said Bagley and Frankulin might have had previous disputes, have not released new details. They were trying to determine what led to the shooting Friday.
Neighbors described Frankulin as being "weird" and "skittish," and said he recently boarded up the house and sold most of his belongings. Prior to that, he did yard work around the cul-de-sac in exchange for cash, according to a neighbor.
