A slight chance for rain Monday night should precede clear skies and windy conditions in the valley midweek, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday should see a high of 63 degrees paired with a 20 to 30 percent chance of showers at night. Temperatures on Tuesday should reach 67 degrees in the afternoon before dipping to 46 degrees overnight, the weather service said.
As a system of moisture moves east away from Las Vegas, it will pull the clouds with it and make way for a cold front expected to move into the valley Wednesday, meteorologist Alex Boothe said Sunday morning.
That system will bring gusty winds 20 to 30 mph and closer to 40 mph in the west and northwest valley. The weather service forecasts a high temperature of 60 degrees and a low temperature of 41 degrees overnight Wednesday.
Thursday’s high should reach 61 degrees and Friday’s is expected to hit 65 degrees, the weather service said. The average temperature for this time of year is about 69 degrees.
