Fatone call saves the wedding day

Your brother's wedding reception is turning into a dark nightmare. Who do you call?

Former 'N Sync star Joey Fatone made a desperate call Saturday to Robert Earl, founder of Planet Hollywood Resort.

Fatone's brother, Steven Fatone, was 30 minutes into the wedding reception at a Lake Las Vegas site when repeated power outages knocked out the lights and sent temperatures and anxieties soaring.

Joey Fatone called Planet Hollywood public relations director Amy Sadowsky and said, "This is the biggest favor I'm ever going to ask of Robert."

Within minutes, Earl had a fleet of limos and Escalades heading for Lake Las Vegas to move the reception to a Planet Hollywood space that opens soon.

"The catering department mobilized and everyone was able to pitch in and help," Sadowsky said. "We were happy to make her (Steven Fatone's bride, Whitney) dream wedding reception come true."

Fatone has lived in Orlando for years and has a long friendship with the celeb-connected Earl, a longtime Orlando resident.

BRITNEY UPDATE

Las Vegas illusionist Criss Angel and Britney Spears continue to keep the Los Angeles paparazzi blazing through flashbulbs.

They were spotted together again Friday morning, with Spears and pals arriving at Angel's hotel at 2 a.m.

Rumors flew Saturday that Spears was on her way to Las Vegas (and several hotels reserved suites for her), but she was a no-show, although Angel appeared to be waiting for her at an empty center stage VIP table at Pure nightclub (Caesars Palace).

While Spears didn't make it, her former headline-making assistant, Shannon Funk, did. Funk, who worked with Spears for only three weeks before being fired July 25 after Spears' disastrous shoot with OK! Magazine, was spotted at Body English nightclub (Hard Rock Hotel) early Sunday in a clinch with funnyman Jaime Kennedy.

Funk, 21, has been in the news for being subpoenaed by Spears' ex, Kevin Federline, and for a reported romp with Spears.

Kennedy was on the town with Jeff Beacher, who reportedly is in talks to have Kennedy host "Beacher's Madhouse."
