SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Two brush fires forced the temporary closure of the major interstate linking Southern California and Las Vegas.
Authorities shut all northbound lanes of Interstate 15 on the Cajon Pass for about two hours Saturday as firefighters battled the fires, which started around 5:30 p.m. Saturday and grew to 100 acres.
The closure caused traffic to back up for miles.
