Jailed Vince Neil no ‘Dr. Feelgood’

Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe, whose biggest hit was "Dr. Feelgood," can't be feeling too great as he nears the halfway point of his two-week jail sentence.

"I'm extremely concerned about his health," said Neil's girlfriend, Alicia Jacobs, entertainment reporter for KSNV-TV, Channel 3.

He's in jail for a June drunken driving arrest.

Jacobs said she's worried about the 50-year-old rocker because he's lost his appetite and isn't sleeping because of kitchen duty that requires a 3:30 a.m. wakeup.

"He's not eating much other than peanut butter, Doritos and stuff like that," Jacobs said. "He had a baloney sandwich one day. It's not optimal conditions."

He volunteered for jail duties in hopes it will reduce his sentence. As a result, he's serving breakfast to his 4,000 fellow inmates every morning starting at 4 a.m., lunch at 10 a.m. and dinner at 4 p.m., in addition to mopping and vacuuming floors and cleaning showers.

He's had visits from Jacobs and a chaplain, read a book titled "Red Dragon" and been recognized by many of the inmates.

"He said everybody's been kind," said Jacobs, adding that a jailer who processes the incarcerated told her Neil "was the most humble celebrity he's seen and has very kind eyes. He said he judges people by their eyes."

After his jail term ends, he faces two weeks of house arrest.

Mötley Crüe's last top 40 hit, "Home Sweet Home," in early 1992, will probably never sound sweeter to Neil.

NEW LOOK

Besides the arrival of twin boys, there have been some other major changes in Celine Dion's family since they left Las Vegas more than three years ago.

Missing are the flowing locks that almost reached the lower back of son Rene-Charles, who turned 10 last month.

He got his first haircut about 2½ years ago and showed up at his mother's return to Caesars Palace on Wednesday with a choirboy cut.

He's also got a new favorite sport, switching from NASCAR to baseball.

"He's really into sports -- baseball, basketball and golf," said his father, Rene Angelil.

Rene-Charles was car crazy in 2005 and spent time at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway as a guest of veteran driver Tony Stewart.

"He's going to be playing baseball this summer," Angelil said.

Who knows, maybe he'll be playing against Jaden Agassi, who turns 10 on Oct. 26.

Rene-Charles starts his weekdays at 9:15 a.m. on Skype, a software application that can be used as classroom TV via the Internet.

That's how he's been home-schooled in Florida.
