Jameson aims for second best-seller
Vegas girl Jenna Jameson, the world’s most famous former porn star, tells me she is finally writing a sequel to her best-selling book, “How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale.”
“My life really started totally over at the end of that book,” Jameson says.
“I ended up with nothing — with just a suitcase, going to Hollywood, then I divorced my ex-husband.
“So it starts over and just craziness happened.”
Jameson wrote that first 2004 autobiography with noted author Neil Strauss.
It was a critically acclaimed hit on The New York Times best-seller list for vivid descriptions of film scenes, celebrity run-ins, overcoming drugs and eating disorders, and Vegas shenanigans.
“That (first) book allowed women to relate to me,” Jameson says. “Just like I said on ‘Oprah,’ every woman has a little Jenna Jameson in them. And I’m trying to make Jenna Jameson bigger in them.”
Jameson doesn’t live here anymore, but she comes to Vegas often and hangs in Encore Beach Club cabanas and at Crazy Horse III strip club. On Saturday, she will play hostess at Crazy Horse III.
“I had the best time I’ve ever had when I was there” at Crazy Horse III, during her last visit. “I was really surprised. I expected just guys to be there, but there were women.”
Jameson says it can be daunting to live up to her reputation.
“I get a little social anxiety because of it. I mean, people look at me kind of like I’m a robot,” she says.
But Jameson, who lately has been changing her hair color from pink to mint green, hopes people can accept her as a human being.
“I just want to be a normal girl. With green hair,” she says with a chuckle.
Speaking of love, she recently tweeted a photo indicating she withholds bedroom affection from her husband, UFC star Tito Ortiz, when women over-click the “like” button on Ortiz’s Instagram photos.
“Isn’t that awful?” she says and laughs. “I am like every other girl. I have the exact same insecurities. And yes, I get mad when chicks go after my man on Instagram and ‘like’ all his pictures, and leave little comments.
“I think Twitter and Instagram are the devil.”
I told Jameson her man could argue that men all over the world are watching her salacious videos.
“He probably could say that, but he is such a good guy. I think he has learned to ignore my ramblings,” she says.
Then she asked me to ask you to follow her on Twitter and Instagram. But wait, I thought social media was “the devil”?
“It just pulls me in,” she says. “If you never see me again, I’ll be inside Instagram.”
LIVING LAS VEGAS
Las Vegas’ newest celebrity resident Nicolas Cage said on Monday’s “Today” show that living here is idyllic.
“I’m proud of Vegas,” Cage said. “I think there’s a lot of great people there that really care — people involved in the community.
“And it’s a great school that my kid’s going to, and I have a very simple life there — and I think the paparazzi might have chased me out of Los Angeles.
“I have a simple life, and I’m a lot lighter because of it. I get up in the morning, I drive my kid to school, I go home, I work out, I take my wife to lunch, then I pick my kid up from school, and that’s it. And I’m ready for the next movie.”
