Detroit mom of 2 children found in freezer lashes out in court — VIDEO

The Detroit mother who confessed to killing two of her children and putting their bodies in a freezer was escorted out of court Wednesday.

Mitchelle Blair, 35, was in a pretrial hearing where the State of Michigan was trying to terminate her parental rights to her two surviving children. The state also is trying to terminate the parental rights of the children’s fathers, according to WXYZ TV.

During the hearing, Blair lashed out at one of the children’s fathers.

“You were an alcoholic and you were never there,” she yelled.

She was returned to the hearing a bit later.

Blair has been charged with two counts of premeditated murder, two counts of torture, four counts of child abuse and one count of committing child abuse first degree in the presence of another child.

She will face mandatory life in prison without parole if convicted of the felony murders of Stoni Blair, 13, and Stephen Berry, 9, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Blair’s other two children, a 17-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy, have been in protective custody since her arrest.

Blair was arrested on March 24 after a court officer, serving an eviction notice on the home, found the bodies of the two children inside a freezer. The bodies had been there for at least two years and had been tortured and burned. The county medical examiner has ruled their deaths a homicide.
