Southwest flight from Las Vegas diverted to Indiana; man dies

INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis International Airport spokesman said a Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Columbus, Ohio, was diverted to Indianapolis because of the illness of a passenger who later died.

Airport representative Carlo Bertolini told WISH-TV that Flight 1891 landed in Indianapolis late Saturday.

He said medical responders were unable to revive the man. WISH reported it wasn't clear whether the man died on the plane or after it landed.
