Texts offer peek at Tiger’s jungle

Tiger Woods had a close call last October in Las Vegas that nearly "ruined my whole life," according to text messages released by one of his mistresses.

Among the text messages released by porn star and model Joslyn James, who says she had a three-year affair with Woods, was an exchange that indicated Woods was in a panic and furious when she showed up where he didn't expect her.

A text message on Oct. 4 at 10:40 a.m. suggested he was tied up with business.

"Guys from dubai," the text message said. "Investors. So my agent being (sic) suggested that we go back to my room at the mansion for lunch. He doesn't know about us, obviously."

About 45 minutes later, Woods wrote: "This has been a total (expletive) trip. i'm sorry i (expletive) up last night. And this (expletive). We will get it right next time so we can spend more time together."

Then something shocking happened between that 11:31 a.m. message and 12:07 p.m. when Woods sent a text message that read: "Oh my god. If they were with me. You would have ruined everything."

Less than a minute later he added: "I told you. Oh my God. I can't believe what just happened."

At 12:08 p.m., an angry Woods added: "Don't (expletive) talk to me. You almost just ruined my whole life. If my agent and these guys would have seen you there, (expletive)."

The batch of text messages she released started in late July when Woods was competing in the Buick Open in Grand Blanc, Mich. Only his responses appeared on her Web site, SextingJoslynJames.com.

"I will leave an envelope at the front desk under ms daniels. Your room will be 305. Get settled and let me know when you are ready to see me. I will be in room 201. You come down the stairwell next to your room. Make absolutely sure no one sees you."

That was July 30, the day Woods opened the tournament tied for 95th.

On July 31 at 1:27 a.m., another text read: "Did you get lost. Door is open."

Two days later, Woods won the tournament.

On Aug. 20, Woods asked James, "So you have been with others huh since."

Nine days later, while he was playing in The Barclays in Jersey City, N.J., Woods sent a text saying, "Enter thru room 360. Its next door."

In a bursts of text messages, he proposed they have a threesome with "another girl you trust" and added, "I want to treat you rough. Throw you around, spank and slap you."

"Where do you want to be bitten?" another text message said.

Minutes later, another text message read: "Having a few issues at home. Might be a little later before I see you tonight."

The next message offered the explanation: "parent hood meltdown :)"

He finished second in The Barclays, a stroke back.

During the second week of September, Woods texted James saying she would be staying in the Hyatt Lodge in Oakbrook, Ill., near where he was playing in the BMW Championship.

At 8:32 p.m. on Sept. 7, she received a text that said, "Come on down. Its quiet here in the hall now."

Two days later, he wrote: "Great thing is we have a life time of this."

But there were signs of friction three weeks later when Woods got to Las Vegas.

He texted her at 6:02 p.m. on Oct. 1: "Baby I'm not going anywhere and doing anything. You please me like no one has or ever will. I'm not losing that. You have to understand people love to talk about me. Sometimes its good and sometimes its bad. I have learned to just roll with it no matter how much it upsets me. My life is a fishbowl."

In what some might view as karmic payback, Woods' sex scandal blew up in the early hours after Thanksgiving Day. James' 32nd birthday was on Thanksgiving.
