Time pokes Zuckerberg as Person of the Year
Hats off to Facebook founder and Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg for being named Time magazine’s Person of the Year earlier today.
Not too shabby for a 26-year-old geek who had a vision of connecting college kids. Those connections have grown faster than a hutch full of rabbits, as more than 500 million people use Facebook worldwide.
Zuckerberg isn’t the youngest to be named Person of the Year by Time. That honor still belongs to its first recipient in 1927, Charles Lindbergh, who was 25 at the time of the announcement.
If I had a vote for this year’s honor, it would have gone to the Chilean miners. I wonder how many of them are on Facebook.
