No need for Las Vegas to ban pet shops

A solution to the puppy mill problem that won’t hurt pet shops is easy: Restrict dog sales in pet shops to only American Kennel Club registered dogs. This keeps breed purity and control over puppy mills that don’t care about weird breed mixtures and assures buyers of quality dogs.

Pet shops may also sell rescue dogs from local pounds. That will eliminate many abusive puppy mills, too.
