Hack for a cause: hackathon develops stress management tools for multiple sclerosis [Infographic]

(BPT) - Living with multiple sclerosis (MS), an immune-mediated disease that affects the central nervous system, can be stressful at times. While there are several lifestyle modifications people with MS can make to potentially help reduce stress, there hasn’t been a concerted effort to merge those interventions with technologies that could help improve access and use. That’s why Biogen Idec, a leader in developing MS treatments, sponsored the “Hack MS” hackathon in February—to jumpstart innovative ideas intended to help reduce the negative effects of unmanaged stress in the lives of people with MS.
