Allen Iverson’s ‘practice’ rant is 13 years old today — VIDEO
We’d like to take a moment to thank the Philadelphia reporter that had the good sense to ask Allen Iverson about his practice habits on May 7, 2002.
All that question produced was the best sports-related press conference clip in the history of YouTube. (This is not up for debate. You can keep your Mike Gundy and Jim Mora.)
The press conference took place days after the Philadelphia 76ers were eliminated from the 2002 NBA playoffs and rumors swirled that Iverson - the 2001 NBA MVP - might be traded, partly due to his work ethic.
But none of that is important. Just watch the video.
