Las Vegan Ray Smith tears ACL, out for season at Arizona

Arizona freshman forward Ray Smith is out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, the school said.
The 6-foot-8-inch Smith was ranked by 247Sports Composite as the nation's No. 19 recruit because of his athletic abilities in running the floor, attacking the boards and cutting to the basket. NBA scouts also reportedly like his size and athleticism.
It is another setback for Smith, who suffered a torn left ACL last summer and missed his senior season at Las Vegas High School.
