LeBron James out with sprained wrist

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James sat out Wednesday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers with a sprained right wrist and is considered doubtful for Friday’s game against the Sacramento Kings.

James was injured while trying to defend Detroit’s Jodie Meeks in the third quarter of Tuesday night’s game against the Pistons. The two collided and James used his hands to brace himself for the fall.

The sprain was diagnosed after a follow-up examination and an MRI.

“I was scared, because I broke my wrist on a fall like that in high school,” James said.

James came back into the game after the fall and finished with 32 points in the Cavaliers’ seventh consecutive win.

Since James return’ after sitting out eight games because of back and knee injuries, the Cavaliers were 7-1 in the last eight games heading into Wednesday night.

Also Wednesday, the Cavaliers recalled guard Joe Harris from the Canton Charge. He has played in two games for Canton this season and is averaging 18.0 points and 8.0 rebounds.

In 35 games for the Cavs this season, including one start, Harris is averaging 2.8 points.
