Race 1 - 1 mile, Purse $15,000, Claiming $8,000, 3-year-olds and up
2 Dekko - Came back from a year hiatus to run a big second last time; has lots of back speed races to run back to.
3 Preacher Roe - Real baseball fans will know this was a former great Brooklyn Dodger pitcher; claimed in last by Adam Kitchingman.
Long Shot - 1 Jackson Sundown
Race 2 - 6 furlongs, Purse $30,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
2 Alexita - Ship and win candidates are usually a strong angle; the first time out of the box is when the ownership can filly cash in.
4 Exposure - Broke her maiden for a $40K price tag; is protected today, facing winners for the first time is a big class rise.
Long Shot - 5 Minster’sadventure
Race 3 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Claiming $20,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
2 Jan’s Spirit - Ran very well first race off the claim by Richard Baltas; expect to see more improvement for this new barn.
4 Seek Safe Harbor - Has won two straight and is the logical morning line favorite; facing a little stiffer competition tonight.
Long Shot - 3 Clem Juice
Race 4 - 5 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, Cal-breds, 2-year-olds
7 Dixie Writer - Leap of faith for this FTS from trainer Paul Aguirre; he legs up his main man Iggy Puglisi.
2 Aragorn Flyer - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; need not be much to compete with these.
Long Shot - 5 Awesome Auggie
Race 5 - 1 mile, Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
5 Just Kidding - Has shown steady progress in his last two dirt routes; lost to Illinois Derby winner Whiskey Ticket last time out.
10 Attack - Was claimed by Rafael DeLeon and tried on turf last out; ran OK now is switched back to the main dirt track.
Long Shot - 4 Da Jenius
Race 6 - 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds and up
2 Test Ride - Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career low level; this is clearly the easiest test of his career.
9 Finallygotabentley - Rafael Bejarano is riding the Los Alamitos, but picking his spots carefully; he wants to get ready for Del Mar.
Long Shot - 8 Changing Karma
Race 7 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Starter allowance $12,500, 3-year-olds and up
2 My Slew - Sharp win for $8K price tag in last; key for me is Mark Glatt runs him in a protected spot today, chance on best.
3 Newfound Gold - This is one meet that trainer Peter Miller won’t win; but he will set himself up for a big run during Del Mar.
Long Shot - 5 Shakahari
Race 8 - 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up
8 The Grumbler - When I pick a horse like this on top, you know it’s just an educated dart throw; this is the hardest race on the program.
4 Stenoa - Spotty resume but has shown flashes of ability; your edge over me is you will see the tote board odds to guide you the way.
Long Shot - 7 The B G Way
Best Bet - 5 Just Kidding (race 5)
