Middleweight Dan Henderson became the oldest fighter in Ultimate Fighting Championship history to record a knockout victory when he stopped Tim Boetsch with a series of right hands just 28 seconds into the main event of a card in New Orleans on Saturday night.
Henderson, 44, halted a two-fight losing streak and broke the mark previously held by Randy Couture. Henderson had lost five of his previous six fights.
Also on the card, Ben Rothwell submitted Matt Mitrione just 1:54 into a heavyweight bout. Dustin Poirier stopped Yancy Medeiros with a body kick and punches midway through the first round of what was a catchweight bout after Medeiros failed to make weight on Friday.
