J. Keith Moyer

Publisher and editor

Keith Moyer has been with the Las Vegas Review-Journal since February 2016. Moyer left his faculty position of nearly six years at the University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communication to join the RJ as editor-in-chief. He took on the role of publisher in March 2018. Previously, Moyer was president and publisher of the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He had earlier served as publisher and president for the Fresno Bee. Moyer also was top editor at the McClatchy Co.'s Fresno Bee and Gannett Co. Inc.'s News-Press in Fort Myers, Florida; Democrat & Chronicle in Rochester, N.Y.; and Arkansas Gazette in Little Rock. Moyer oversaw year-long coverage of poor social conditions faced by African-Americans in Southwest Florida that won the News-Press the 1990 Grand Prize in the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards. He is a 1977 graduate of the College of Journalism and Communication at the University of Florida, where he was named an Alumni of Distinction.
