Not everyone who moves to Las Vegas comes for weekend life on the Strip. In fact, you won't find too many native Las Vegans on the Strip on any given night, unless they work there, of course. 

Just like some other myths you may have heard about Sin City, not all of the locals work on the Strip. Very seldom do locals visit the Strip to go out on a regular night. In reality, there are a lot of things locals don't do, compared to visitors.

There are exceptions, but really, walking down a four-mile road with a three-foot daiquiri doesn't sound fun.
