Centennial dealerships break car sales record

Centennial Buick GMC and Centennial Mazda broke used-car sales records in April, and Alex Estay, general manager of the dealerships, expects that trend to continue through the summer.
“In this economic environment, car buyers are looking to maximize every dollar they spend,” Estay said. “Because we carry a large selection of clean used cars, trucks and SUVs, our shoppers have found a viable alternative to buying new vehicles at our store.
“In fact, we have many cars and trucks that are almost new, with factory warranties and very low miles,” Estay said. “We have several certified used vehicles in our inventory that are virtually like a new vehicle.”
The Centennial dealerships, in the northwestern valley, have a used-car inventory valued at more than $3 million.
“We get a lot of buyers who come in looking for a new car or truck and in some cases, find that their budget may not stretch far enough to buy new. With many certified preowned vehicles in stock, it is sometimes easier to find a used vehicle for our buyers than new. We have a great selection of vehicles priced from under $10,000,” Estay said. “Most often, we can help our buyers arrange financing from one of our many financing sources.”
Used-car shoppers are doing more research before buying, he said. With the Internet, buyers can pinpoint the make, model and price range they want to spend before they arrive at the dealership.
Estay said all of Centennial’s vehicles are prepared rigorously before being offered to the public.
“The past three years were tough for used-car shoppers. Selection was thin and prices were relatively high. Right now could be the best time to buy a used vehicle as prices are much better and our selection is the best it has ever been. We have a great selection of ’10s and ’11s and even ’12s. Everything from imports to domestic. Cars, trucks, vans and SUVs.”
The dealerships are at 6525 Centennial Center Blvd. They are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
