Dining Pick of the Week: Montana Meat Co.

Montana Meat Co.

Centennial Gateway, 6371 Centennial Center Blvd., 702-396-7615; 9135 S. Durango Drive at Blue Diamond Road, 702-407-0362

Walking into the Montana Meat Co. is like walking into an homage to the great outdoors and the American hunting tradition. The menu, decorated with full-color photos of eagles, buffalo and Grizzly bears, features — surprise, surprise — plenty of meat. Beef is the meat of choice, with selections ranging from steaks (the 20-ounce ribeye is $18.95, and the 20-ounce T-bone is $25.95) to filet medallions ($19.95) to baby back ribs ($17.95). Lamb chop T-bones feature six New Zealand chops for $22.95. Pot roast with brown gravy is $12.95. Seafood offerings include jumbo shrimp (two for $15) and lobster tails (two for $25). The macadamia chicken ($14.95) features a large chicken breast, pounded flat, crushed with macadamia nuts and brushed with spicy mustard. It’s served with a tasty, light lemon butter sauce and your choice of mashed potatoes, baked potato, steak fries or rice pilaf, along with a side of steamed vegetables. Each meal comes with a small loaf of fresh, hot bread and butter. Breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads and pasta are also available for diners looking to veer away from the meat route. Average entree prices range from about $12 to $36. Montana Meat Co. is open 24/7.
