Director of tennis at DragonRidge Country Club named ambassador

Adolph Huddleston director of tennis at DragonRidge Country Club has been named the 2009 Adult League Ambassador by the United States Tennis Association -- Nevada. This award recognizes the efforts of outstanding ambassadors for the promotion of adult league play in Southern Nevada.

Huddleston has been teaching tennis in the Las Vegas community for the last 20 years and has earned the rating of professional level one and high performance coach. With 38 years of playing and coaching experience, he has worked with some of the top teaching professionals such as Rick Macci and Nick Saviano.

With a passion for the game, hard work and commitment, Huddleston has helped the DragonRidge Tennis Program double in size. Over the past year, Huddleston has assembled, promoted and coached over nine teams that participated in the USTA adult leagues in Southern Nevada. The spring league 3.5 men's and the 3.5 women's teams qualified for the district tournaments. He also has implemented a junior's program designed to help young athletes expand their game and develop into seasoned tennis professionals.

The DragonRidge Tennis and Athletic Center opened in April of 2009. This new facility features five championship tennis courts, a tennis pro shop, full service fitness center, two group exercise studios, Pilates room, massage room, child care and 4,500 square feet of strength and cardio equipment.

Other amenities including a locker room, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, café, lighted tennis courts and outdoor volleyball and basketball. This state-of-the-art tennis facility offers a full-range of programs for any skill level from juniors to seniors.

DragonRidge Country Club, the heart of MacDonald Highlands, is a private 18-hole championship golf course. DragonRidge Country Club is complimented by a clubhouse that features a steakhouse, a members-only bar, a family friendly grill, an extensive golf pro shop and a ballroom seating more than 300 guests. Social membership to the clubhouse is provided upon application approval.
