Lamborghini races into Southern Nevada
September 23, 2011 - 1:03 am
Few vehicles have as much power, prestige and sexiness as the Italian sports car Lamborghini. The high-performance, European-styled muscle machines are now in Southern Nevada. Lambor-
ghini Las Vegas recently opened inside the Valley Automall at 7738 Eastgate Road in Henderson.
The new 2,600-square-foot, jewel-box dealership has a dozen of the exotic, super sports cars, including the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700. The futuristic looking carbon-fiber coupe with scissor doors is powered by a V-12, 700-horsepower engine that goes from zero to 62 miles per hour in 2 seconds or about the time it takes blink. The Aventador's top speed is 217 miles per hour. Handcrafted in Sant'Agata Bolognese in northern Italy, the customized vehicle comes in 13 standard colors, although any shade is available through special order.
"Lamborghini is an emotional purchase from start to finish due to the personal nature of the vehicle," said Lambor-
ghini Las Vegas general manager Jim DiGuilio. "Getting behind the wheel of this exclusive exotic car -- feeling its raw power, unprecedented styling, and flawless performance -- is the experience of a lifetime."
The specially designed dealership by architect Richard Youngblood embodies Lamborghini's rich history of luxury and quality. Lighting, cabinets, furniture and doors were all imported from Italy. Lamborghini sets strict quality standards for its dealers. As a result, there are only 120 dealerships worldwide. The Valley Automall has the only authorized sales and service Lamborghini dealership in Nevada. The building, like the car itself, is sleek and refined. The dealership features artwork from renowned photographer Jordan Shiraki, whose images have appeared in InStyle magazine and Luxury Las Vegas, among other publications.
"Everything about the dealership is uniquely European by design," said Youngblood, owner of Las Vegas-based Youngblood Architecture Ltd. "The building has very clean lines; it is simple and understated, highlighting the design of the car."
The full-service dealership includes a four-bay service department with ground lifts and alignment ramps specifically engineered for the Italian car's needs. And there is a full selection of Lamborghini parts as well as three factory-certified mechanics on hand to handle any problem big or small.
"The Italian carmaker's reputation for excellence is legendary. As such, we're elated to have Lamborghini Las Vegas as part of the Valley Automall family," said Valorie Staley, manager of the Valley Automall Owners Association. "We consider it a great coup to have the only Lamborghini dealership in state. It's yet another reason to celebrate our 15-year anniversary in 2011."
The Valley Automall is located off U.S. Highways 93/95 at Auto Show Drive, or the Las Vegas Beltway exit at Gibson Road in Henderson. For more information, go to www.valleyautomall.com.
