Mountain Falls Grill Room receives praise
April 22, 2007 - 9:00 pm
One year after opening the Mountain Falls' clubhouse and its restaurant, The Mountain Falls Grill Room, general manager and head golf professional Neil Pierce said the operation is gaining momentum. The master-planned golf course community by William Lyon Homes is located in Pahrump.
"The restaurant is extremely consistent and patrons rave about the food and service. Chef Dave Hutchinson and his kitchen staff exceed expectations with taste, quality and presentation," Pierce said. "We offer impressive meals at great prices and will continue to tweak the menu and offerings as Mountain Falls grows."
Open to residents, golfers and the public, the restaurant has added a Sunday brunch buffet to its lineup. Other offerings include daily breakfast and lunch service, plus dinner service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Menu choices range from the hole-in-one breakfast burrito and par-5 ham benedict to quick lunchtime sandwiches to chicken, steak and seafood entrees for dinner.
"We're building steam day by day and have hit upon the perfect combination of offerings for right now," Pierce said. "We follow a simple formula -- treat people right and they come back. They also tell their friends and neighbors. Thanks to everyone who supported us in our first year. It will be exciting to watch the momentum continue as we head into year two."
Situated along the 18-hole parkland style Mountain Falls Golf Club, the restaurant offers views of the golf course's water features and Mt. Charleston in the distance. The Mediterranean-themed clubhouse complex also includes banquet facilities designed to host up to 300 people for weddings and private parties. The adjacent community resident facility provides fitness and recreational amenities for homeowners. Highlights include a fitness center, locker rooms, multi-purpose room and resident lounge with pool table. A family pool, adult pool, spa and interactive water-play area comprise the outdoor amenities, where residents can order food and refreshments from The Mountain Falls Grill Room.
"We're priced to appeal to families and residents, but we draw our share of tourists," said Pierce, noting the restaurant's popularity among golfers who stay at Pahrump-area hotels. "It gives the stay-and-play golf crowd the perfect opportunity to take in a unique restaurant setting."
The location is key for residents like Diane and Kevin Allen, who said they enjoy the quick walk to the clubhouse from their home in William Lyon Homes' Cascata.
"The small town atmosphere at Mountain Falls extends to the restaurant. The food is top notch and you can't beat the service," Diane Allen said. "We love walking over for dinner and enjoy the beauty of this community along the way."
